Class: 2014 The Super class for Minnesota basketball recruiting D-1 players at all phases of the game. This class features 2 of the best player in the nation in the class of 2014. Also a host of athletes and playmakers.

1) Tyus Jones  PG  6’2 Apple Valley – Cerebral  uncanny player with unparalleled playmaking ability. Can score at will averaging 28.7 points this and scored 30 plus 11 times this season. Makes his team better an always under control. 5 star recruit has several major offers Duke, Arizona, Michigan State, the #1 point guard in nation in the class.

2) Rashad Vaughn SF/SG 6’6 Robindale Cooper – Absolute stud complete package, athleticism, size, physical tools and skill. Dynamic scorer finishing above the rim in traffic and elite elevation an rage on jumper. One of most imposing offensive skill sets in the nation, averaging 25.9 points this season. Stock still on the rise nationally, 5 star recruit has several major offers Arizona state, Kansas, Baylor.

3) Ian Theisen  C  6’9  Osseo – A skilled post player with shooting rage to about 14 feet. Great body control and good energy, can finish with both hands around the rim and in traffic. Works well with in the offense and can pass out of double’s in the post  to the open player. A high caliber player led his team to a 4A state title an is drawing interest from major programs.

4) Reid Travis  PF/C  6’6  De La Salle – Smooth, athletic, powerful, very versatile. A dominate post player finishes over, on, around and threw other front court players with contact. Runs the floor very well on both sides of the ball, averaged 20.4 points, 11.5 rebounds and led his team to a 3A a state title this season. With all the physical tools stock still rising, with a few D1 offers.

5)  Ryan Holthusen  G  5’10 Red Lake-  A dynamic scorer, capitalizes on defenses mistakes, works well without the ball to get to his spots, average 25.9 3.5 assist 2.4 rebounds, led his team to 18 wins 14 more then the year before,  smart with the ball and has sgood playmaking ability..

6) John Veil  PG 6’0  Blake- Smooth, cerebral , good basketball IQ, and playmaking ability. Has good leadership, averaged 12.3 7.0 assist  4.0 steals 3.0 rebounds this season and led his team to a 24-4 record. Crafty on both sides of the ball, hides when he’s playing the passing lanes and looks of defenders when passing. Has the ability take over a game with his playmaking.  

7) Jordan Dembley   PG 6’1 Holy Angles – High caliber point guard skills, solid court vision ball handling and playmaking ability. Averaged 13.4 points 4.1 assist 2.4 rebounds and 1.5 seals this season. Can make plays off the dribble drive, pushes the ball up court and uses the pick & roll well. Needs to become a more dynamic playmaker to make his team better but has all the tools.

8) ) Andre Wallace PG/SG  6’0- Eden Prairie- Elite speed and quickness, led his team in scoring averaging 14.2 points this season. Complete guard packaged, can run the offense an pushes the ball up court well, thrives at find his shot and other in the open court. Needs to play more under control and could have a more solid basketball IQ. Has the ability to collapse the defense off the dribble and can make plays for others around the rim and on the perimeter.

9)  Dejon Davis SF/SG  6’3  Washburn- Dynamic athlete with all the physical tools. Has the complete wing package, aggressive in the open court able to finish in traffic above the rim. Has solid perimeter shooting skills, an the explosiveness and upper body strength to drive and finish in the half court. Can guard multiple positions and one of the best perimeter defenders in the class.

10) Jon Sobaski  PG 6’0  Prior Lake- One of the best pure point guards in the state. Makes his team better an also led his team in scoring averaging 13.0 on a team with a D1 center inside this season. Works well with out the ball and rarely rushes his shot. Scored in double digits 21/27 games this season, Jon never lets his team lose to a team that they should be and is a competitor.

11) Isaiah McKay G  5’8 Park Center- Speedy, crafty, elusive, really good shooter averaged 15.0 points this season. Scored in double figures in 23 of 26 games this season, along side another guard who averaged 26.0 points this season. Has the ability to find the open space in half court and on the break behind the arc. Solid guard skills with some playmaking ability.

12) Jake Wright SG/SF  6’3  Hopkins- High basketball IQ, works well without the ball.  Works in the offense, spaces and runs the courts well.  Elite spot up, deep rage and clutch shooter. Can be a liability on defense against aggressive wing athletes and ball movement. Can be A high caliber player with the understanding what his weakness and strengths.

13) Delshon Strickland  SF/SG 6’2  Holy Angles- Versatile bouncy  athlete, has solid guard and wing skill set. Thrives at scoring in the open court and finishing on fast breaks. Needs to be more physical on defense and more aggressive on offense. Has some perimeter shooting skills and plays both sides of the ball.

14) Kamli Chambers PG  5’10  Hopkins- High energy player, aggressive on both sides of the ball. Solid ball handling and court vision, works well in the offense. Pushes the ball up court, can run the offense and finds the open man. Has solid playmaking ability and basketball IQ.

15) Isaac Mattews  C/PF 6’6 Park Center- Great athlete, runs the floor well on both sides of the ball with good energy. Intense defender in the paint effecting any thing that comes inside with good instincts. A good rebounder that get the ball up court fast . Still very raw offensively averaging 6.6 points but can finish on the break and above the rim. Needs to play more under control on both side of the ball.
