Game Review

Maranatha If that's the best 1A has for the Mustangs, they will be cutting down the nets in March 2013. One of the most balanced team games played this season with 4 players in double figures as Maranatha played their A game. Isaiah Hanson 19pts shot 8/12 from from the field and was a dominate force against Heritage Christian. Garrison Gillard had a complete game looking like one of the top guards in the state with 22pts 7ast 4reb and 3stl with 1 turnover. Grantham Gillard guarded all position and had impact with 12pts 6reb 5ast only 2 turnovers. Maranatha had 26 assist and 12 turnovers and played with great pace. This team is for real and have a good chance of finishing the season undefeated.

Heritage Christian This was not their best showing as Heritage was careless with the ball as their best players did not take care of the ball. Zach Weld had a solid game with 17 but was 2/8 from deep 4 less makes then his last game a win against Maranatha with 5 turnovers. Christian Pieper went 1/10 with 3pts and Brad Basco had 18 pts but shot 7/18 with 4 turnovers. Heritage Christian could not keep up the scoring place and did not have good night from deep shooting 5/26.Heritage Christian is a solid team and should bounce back from this knowing that they will get a rematch later this season.
