Twin Cities Round Ball Remix Tournament



This years first annual Round Ball Remix tournament was a great success hosting a great deal of the Twin Cities metro talent. Here's a look at the top prospects and performances at this years Round Ball Remix tournament.

Emanuel Tamba 6'1 2019, G Park Center, Net Gain 16's

No guard prospect in the 16U bracket put the numbers that Emanuel Tamba put up with back to back 20 plus point games in semifinals and finals. Net Gain falling short by one point in the championship was no fault of Tamba who scored in double figures in the second half, attacking off of the dribble for multiple and ones. Tamba has great explosiveness off of the dribble and is hard to stop once he picks his dribble up in the lane.





Donald Ferguson 5'5 2022, PG Maple Grove Middle, Get Shook 13's

Arguably the top prospects in the building at this years Round Ball Remix Donald Ferguson Jr aka Don Don was a dominate force throughout the tournament. On the way to leading Get Shook 13U to capturing the 14U championship Ferguson controlled the game form both ends of the court. Ferguson gave out countless amounts of dimes and created a almost unreal amount of turnovers against his opponents. Even more impressive than the volume of  points that Ferguson racked up was the speed of the game in witch he played, at full speed with very few mistakes. Ferguson Jr was at his best when it counted dropping a game high and tournament high 35 points in the championship game.


Andre Gray 6'2 2021, G Hopkins, Minneapolis FAB 14's

One of the most skilled combo guard prospects regardless of class was in coming Hopkins freshman Andre Gray who is expected to play on the Royals varsity squad next season. Gray showed a high caliber skill set with his ability to play both guard spots and score from anywhere on the court. Gray showed a a good combination of size, ball skills, athleticism and perimeter shooting on his was to falling just short of taking home the finals win.





Jalen Dearring 6'1 2019, Minnetonka, Net Gain 16's

The top point guard prospect in the 16U division Jalen Dearring showed the best pure point guard skill set with ability to control the pace of the game, pick and chose when to create for himself and other to score. Dearring showed he is one of the top point guard prospects in the class because he's always under control and his ability to light it up from the outside while leading Net Gain to the finals.






Treyton Thompson 6'7 2022, PF Alexandria, Get Shook 13's

By far the best post prospect in the the tournament Treyton Thompson is the real deal, way more than just a very tall kid. Thompson has noticeably good dexterity with his ability to finish with either hand in traffic. The best part of Thompson game is the balance that he has in his face up as well as his post up moves and how he chooses to use them. Minnesota's 2022 class is already loaded with national names like Minneapolis North's Trejuan Holloman and Minnehaha Academy's Prince Aligbe as well as teammate Don Don Ferguson, Treyton Thompson is definitely is the top pure front court prospect in the class with his great size and skill.



Desi Sims 6'2 2019, G Roosevelt, The Next Level 16's

A prospect who made his AAU season debut Desi Sims looked the part of a very athletic utility combo guard prospect. Sims was able to impact the game at a high level with his great utility. Sims rebounded at a high level with tons of tip backs and racked up assist in the open court making the open passes. Sims thrived in the open court and turning defense to offense. Sims showed great potential and could be primed to break out this July or during the coming high school season.





Gabe Myren 6'2 2020, SG Spring Lake Park, Net Gain 15's

One of the most skilled scoring guard prospects in the tournament regardless of class was Gabe Myren who was a eye opener. Myren showed he can create off of the dribble and able to finish in traffic. A very complete off guard skill set Myren showed the ability to score on all three levels.







Cornell Richardson 5'9 2020, PG Osseo, Minneapolis FAB 15's

Few prospects showed the potential and production at the 15U bracket as point guard Cornell Richardson. Richardson put up some big numbers scoring 20+ in three games, filling up the score sheet with makes from deep. Richardson has high level point guard skill set, good shooting touch behind the arc and great passing vision.







Dion Ford 6'4 2019, SF St.Paul Central, Net Gain 16's

The most athletic wing prospect in the building was Dion Ford, who played with more energy than any other prospect in the 16U division. Ford posses a athletic wing forward skill set, plays both sides and plays above the rim. Ford has good leangth and size at the wing as well as has a great motor.







DJ Miller 5'10 2020, SG Cooper, Get Shook 15's

One of the most complete guards in the 15U bracket DJ Miller played at a high level. Miller has a utility guard skill set does everything well. Miller has good touch from the perimeter knocking down open looks.








Juwan Grant 6'3 2019, G Champlin Park, Get Shook 15's

One of the most skilled 2019 guard prospects at this years Round Ball Remix was Juwan Grant. Grant is a scoring combo guard who's smooth and crafty with the ball able get the rim. Grant played at a high level and showed good potential.








Hassan Karma 6'3 2022, SF Maple Grove Middle, Get Shook

One of the top wing prospects in the tournament was Hassan Karma who was a major force throughout the tournament. Karma posses a great combination of size, athleticism and finishing abilty around the rim. Karma Played a major role in Get Shook's run to a championship win in the 14U division. Showed great potential and production making major contributions for Get Shook.






Hunter Nielsen 6'8 2019, PF New Prague, The Next Level 16's

No other team in the tournament had the size that The Next Level brought to the table for the Round Ball Remix this year and the most impact prospect of the group was New Prague big man Hunter Nielsen. Nielsen has a stretch forward skill set with his ability to shoot from behind the arc. Nielsen posses great length as well as height and the frame to build on.




Amir Whitlock 5'9 2020, PG Park Center, Net Gain 15's


One of the top lead guard prospects at this year's Round Ball Remix tournament was Amir Whitlock. Whitlock posses a high caliber lead guard skill set, great ball skills and shooting range behind the arc.  









Chase Carter 6'2, 2022, SF Minnehah Academy, Net Gain 14's

One of the most skilled and versatile front court prospects in this year's Round Ball Remix Tournament was Chase Carter. Carter does everything well, impacts the game without the ball and played at a high level during the tournament. Carter has great ball skills and posses a point forward skill set.







Terrence Brown 5'3 2022 Osseo, Middle School, Phenom 13's

One of the top 2022 point guard prospects in the tournament was Terrence Brown for Phenom. Brown displayed great ball skills, able to create off of the dribble, get into the lane and finish under control. Brown led Phenom to a finals win and was a impact player throughout the tournament.

Tameron Ferguson 2024 5'1, PG Maple Grove, Get Shook 11's 

One of the most impressive point guard prospects regardless of class was Tameron Ferguson. Ferguson has a pure point guard skill set, has passing vision beyond his years and makes his team better. Ferguson was playing at another level than most of the players around him leading Get Shook's 11U team to the 12U championship win.







Montae Warren 5'5 2020, PG Cooper, Get Shook 15's

A heady scoring point guard who gets to the rim Montae Warren was a high impact player throughout tourament. Warren played a major role for Get Shook in their run to capturing the 15U championship. Warren showed a scoring guard skill set with a good combination of speed and ball skills.

CJ O'Hara 6'0 2023, SF Maple Grove Middle School, Net Gain 12's

One of the most athletic wing prospects in the Round Ball Remix tournament was CJ O'Hara. O'Hara has good ball skills at the wing position, good athleticism and finishing ability.  







Mykel Howard 6'4 2019, SF St.Paul Central, Grassroots 16's

Mykel Howard was one of the more talented front court prospects at this years Round Remix tournament. Howard showed great versatility with his ability to finish inside, attack in the open court and good touch from the perimeter.
