Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational Nike " Sweet 16 " Peach Jam qualifier event


This year's Pulley Memorial Day Invitational is turning out to be one of the premier 16U events of the spring with amount the high major talent. Some of the nation's top prospects such as Michael Porter, Gary Trent Jr, Jerry Myles, Kaj Days, Zach Norvell, Brian Bowen and Charles Moore was on display during the  Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational tournament. Here's a look at some of the top performers and prospects from this year's" Sweet 16" Peach Jam qualifier event.

Jerry Myles SG 2016 All Iowa Attack

One of the most impressive prospects from the previous "Sweet 16 " Peach Jamqualifier events Myles continues to be a dominant force throughout the Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational. Myles consistently was effective slashing to the rim, getting too the free throw line and making shoots from behind the arc. Myles showed great competitiveness and consistency making games winning shoots, scoring at high level, winning the one on one match up, while leading his team to the semifinals game against tournament winner Detroit's The Family.




Brian Bowen SF 2017 The Family

Bowen was one of most complete and impactful prospects from this year's Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational, leading his team to the automatic "Sweet 16 " Peach Jam bid winning the championship game over Howard Pulley. Bowen showed great versatility, basketball IQ, and ball skills against some legit competition. Bowen's ability to contribute on a high level in all phases of the, is what makes him one of the top prospects in the class nationally.





Gary Trent Jr SG 2017 Howard Pulley

Trent was one of the top performers throughout this year's Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational this year. Trent showed great potential, preforming at high level against top level competition, producing in all phases of the game. Trent put up some big time scoring performances while leading his team to the championship game against Detroit's The Family.






Michael Porter SG 2017 MOKAN Elite

Porter was one of the top performers throughout this year's Pulley's Memorial Day Invitational displaying his great potential during this competition, putting up some big time scoring performances. Porter is offensively dynamic as any prospect at high size in the 2017 class nationally, with his ability to finish around the rim, take defenders off the dribble and consistently making perimeter shoots.






Charles Moore PG 2016 Mac Irvin

Moore was one of the most complete, competitive and consistent guard prospects throughout this year's Pulley Memorial Day Invitational tournament. Moore was all over the floor making major contributions on both sides of the court, helping lead Mac Irvin Fire to the semifinals against Howard Pulley. Moore showed great play making ability and finishing ability around the rim.






Amar Miller PG 2016 Howard Pulley

Miller was on his A game throughout the weekend, making major contributions to Pulley's run to the championship game against Detroit's The Family. Miller was the premier point guard prospect during this year's Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational, demonstrating the ability to dominant the game with his play making ability. Miller consistently broke down the defense penetrating off the dribble, making plays for others and himself effectively using floaters and pull up jumpers.





Christian Negron F 2017 Mac Irvin Fire

Negron was on of the most versatile and impressive front court prospects from this year's "Sweet 16" Peach Jam qualifier event at the Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational. Negron demonstrated a solid overall wing forward skill set, slashing to the basket, making shoots from the perimeter, as well as defending multiple positions at a high level. Negron made major contributions on both sides of the court helping lead Mac Irvin Fire to the semifinals.






Nejal Eastern G 2017 Mean Streets

Eastern was one of the stand out guard prospects from Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational tournament. Eastern preformed at high level level on both sides of ball throughout the tournament. Eastern showed great play making ability, defended well and consistently turned defense to offense.







Kaj Days F 2016 Wisconsin Playground Elite

Days was one of the most impactful and consistent front court prospects from this year's Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational Peach Jam qualifier event. Days demonstrated great versatility, the ability to finish around the rim at a high rate, make some perimeter shoots, slash to the rim on the offensive end,  as well as the strength and physicality to defend the post against larger prospects defensively.






Jordan Schakel SF 2017 Cali Supreme 

Schakel was one of the most consistent and productive prospects throughout this year's Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational Peach Jam "Sweet 16" qualifier event. Schakel showed a solid overall wing forward skill set making contributions in all phases of the game as well as demonstrating play making ability and great scoring instincts producing at a high level. 






Mitchell Ballock SG 2017 Run GMC

Ballock was one of most solid overall guard prospects throughout this year's Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational tournament. Ballock played with aggressiveness on both sides of the ball, attacking offensively displaying a great offensive skill set.








Jamil Jackson SF 2016 Howard Pulley

Jackson was one of the impressive wing prospects from this year's Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational tournament. Jackson demonstrated great wing forward skill set and athleticism making plays on both sides of the ball helping lead Howard Pulley to the championship game. Jackson thrived at making plays above the rim on both sides of the court throwing down ally opps and blocking shoots. Jackson showed great versatility making shoots from behind the arc and finishing above the rim on offense as well as defending multiple positions at a high level on defense.




Zack Norvell SF 2016 Mac Irvin Fire

Norvell was one of the most complete wing prospects from this year's Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational tournament. Norvell did whatever it took to help his team win, making plays on both sides of the ball. Norvell demonstrated the ability slash to the rim and finishing around the basket.







Cordell Pemsel F/C 2016 Martin Brothers 

Pemsel was the most dominate post presence during this year's Howard Pulley Memorial Day Invitational tournament. Pemsel played his role well finishing around the rim at a high rate, defending the post and making major contributions on the boards.








KJ Robinson PG 2016 YOBO

Robinson was one of the most competitive and consistent guard prospects from the Howard Pulley Memorial Day tournament this year. Robinson played with aggressiveness on both sides of the court and showing great production throughout the weekend getting in double figures in every game.
