Standings Sections Scary: Sectional Review

1A Minnesota's largest schools and most talent producing programs are in 4A. This consist mainly of public schools but have select number of private schools. With more skill players in their leagues makeing for much more competitive interesting run for the state championship.

Section 1 Lakeville North won this section last year. There are 2 clear favorites to win this section. Lakeville North with one of the states leading scores PJ Macura. Rochester John Marshall's with freshman stud Michael hurt.

Section 2 Eden Prairie won this section last year. There also 2 clear cut favorites to win this section. Eden Prairie guard led team featuring Grant Shaffer,Andre Wallace and Anthony Anderson. Feature one the best guard match-ups playing against Prior Lake's Jon Sobaski and big man a Carlson Shanks in section finals.

Section 3 This section is a 1 horse race as Apple Valley led by Tyus Jones and Dennis Austin should have no problem winning this section and making an appearance in the state tournament.

Section 4 One of the most competitive sections in the state. Woodbury 1 this section last year. This section features several teams that are worthy of making a state run. Woodbury led by Rerard Suggs have proved  all year they can win big games. Tartan having a good year but I have been upset the last 2 to years. Roseville the most complete team is section featuring Logan Brown and McKenzie Johnson. Stillwater area led by Andrew Duxbury are on a role ,could be a threat to anyone of these teams. Look for the top 2 seeds to advance for the better final games in sections.

Section 5 This section is the deepest of all the sections,  This section has the most talented as a features some of the top programs in Minnesota this year. Osseo won this section last year on their run to a state title with Ian Theisen and Bridge Tulser. Park Center is the number 1 seed in this section and have been arguably the best team all season led Quinton Hooker. Cooper has a 5th seed in this section but has one the nations best players Rashad Vaughn. Champlin Park also pose a threat to make a possible run led by Brennan Witt and JT Gibson. Maple Grove capable of beating any of these teams led by Jake Wieneke and Eric Olson.

Section 6 This sections always interesting as it features half of the Lake Conference teams Wyzata, Edina and Hopkins building the drama for rematch games from the season. This section is also very deep with 5 teams are all having great seasons and are capable of making a run. Hopkins is never a sleeper when it comes to making a run to state with the host of talented players and freshman  Phenom Amir Coffey. Edina has the most complete team led by seniors Graham Woodard and Reggie Lynch. Minnetonka good year one of the deepest teams led by Riley Dearring good push to make an appearance at state. Saint Louis Park is capable of winning against any team on a given night lead by DJ Pollard Kashif Hayes.

Section 7 This section does not featured a dominate program or a team having a good season. Duluth East 1 this section last year and St Francis is the number 1 seed.

Section 8 This section is also very interesting as it has 3 teams having good years. Brainerd has proved to be one of the best teams this year only losing 1 game this season and is the number 1 seed led by balanced attack and Marcus Comstock. This section also has Morehead with one of the states leading scores and top seniors Aaron Lien.

Section very competitive because the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th seeds all have a chance upsetting the upper seeds. Look for Holy Angeles led by Jordan Dembley and Delshon Strickland 2 face Blake in section finals led by Kebu Johnson and John Veil.

Section 7 This section looks like a 2 horse race as Hermantown is having great season led by Spencer Johnson. Grand Rapids led by Alex won this section last year and split a game a piece with Hermantown this season.
