MYSM Class 2015 Top 15 Rankings

2015: Minnesota is on the basketball map, this class continues to show why. The 2015 class is loaded with Division 1 prospects at guard and center with 5 players having Division one offers going into their junior year. This class has a possible 20 plus division 1 prospects.

1) Jarvis Johnson 6'1 PG De La Salle - Elite level guard prospect, dynamic athlete with high caliber guard skill set. Johnson possesses all of the physical attributes and skills that high Division one program seek out,one of the top stock rises in the 2015 class nationally. Johnson has the ability to take defenders off the dribble and finish above the rim in traffic, as well as run the offense, break down a defense and create for others. One of the most handcuffed players in the state.  Running a offense during high that led him to be a facilitator and not a scorer averaging 7.7 points on his way to back to back state championships. Johnson has offers from UCLA, Penn State, Purdue, Iowa State,Creighton Gonzaga and the University of Minnesota, while gaining great national interest.

2) Alex Illikainen 6'10 C Grand Rapids - High caliber skilled big, with great athleticism. Illikainen has a complete offense skill set and play making ability in the post. Averaging 26.1 points the season while being the primary defense focus on every play. Illikainen is a dominant post player on both sides of the ball controlling the paint on the boards and on defense. Offers from Oregon, Iowa State, Creighton, Nebraska and the University of Minnesota. Illikainen is beast and is drawing great national interest.



3) Sacar Amin 6'4 SG De La Salle - Versatile, elite athlete, with high caliber guard skill set. Possesses all physical attributes and athleticism that division one programs seek in guards and wing prospects. Sacar continues to improve and show that his upside is even greater, with his complete transition to shooting guard. Playing at the highest level this season starting for back to back State championship winner De La Salle, as well as starter on Pulley's EYBL team this summer. Amin stock is rising and drawing great interest from Iowa, Wisconsin, UNI and gaining national attention.

4) Marshawn Wilson 6'2 G Hill Murray - Dynamic, explosive combo guard. Overall solid guard skill set with elite athleticism. Can create off the bounce and finish above the rim in traffic with contact. Elite one on one player on both sides of the court. Wilson has offers from Creighton, UNI and Colorado; drawing great national interest.




5) Sam Neumann 6'5 SF Cretin Durham Hall - High caliber, skilled shooter, with with solid athleticism and deep shooting range. High basketball IQ, physical, competitive and can take over games from deep if left open. Leading his team in scoring averaging 16.6 points this. Neumann has an offer from Toledo and drawing great interest from several division 1 programs.



6) JT Gibson 6'3 PG Champlin Park- Overall high caliber guard skill set, with with great size and strength for his position. Gibson dose everything at high level, knows how to control the pace of the game and run a offense. Averaging 11.1 points 2.3 assist and 1.5 steals this season. Gibson stock is rising and could land a few major offers before the end of this summer.




7) Donnell Gresham 6'0 PG Cretin Durham Hall - Prototype, pure point guard, makes other players better as well as possesses great offensive tools. Can score on all three levels of the court and has elite play making ability. Donnell is a lil under the radar from playing junior varsity this past season, from transferring.


8) Justin Dahl 6'10 C Holy Family - Dahl possesses great upside and impacts the game on both sides of the ball in the paint. Averaging 7.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.2 blocks. Dahl knows his role and plays it to the fullest having an impact in the post on both ends of court. Division 1 body, Dahl controls the paint, and has that tough nastiness that coaches want in post defenders. Dahl in drawing great regional interest and should be getting some solid offers before the end of summer.

9) Grantham Gillard 6'4 SG Eden Prairie -  Flat out stud, versatile, athletic and skilled. One of the most handcuffed players in the state this past 2013 season, averaging 12.0 points. One top defenders at his position, with solid play making ability. Able to score in the offense, in the open court, and on the bounce and on all 3 levels.  Grantham is 15 and is one of the youngest players the class. Has almost complete shooting guard skill. Grantham is drawing interest from Bowling Green, Butler, UNI and Iowa State.

10) Bjorn Broman 6'0 PG Lakeview Christian - High pedigree, pure point, makes other players better. Broman is skilled from the perimeter and is one of the best 3 point shooters in the state. Possesses great play making ability high energy and has solid athleticism. Averaging 21.3 points, 7.9 assist, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.9 steals in the 2013 season, leading the state in assist, steals and three pointers made. Broman stock is rising and drawing regional interest.

11) Jalen Mobley 6'1 PG Johnson - Explosive, dynamic, scoring point guard. One of the most athletic and explosive guards in the class. Thrives on turning defense to offense and making plays for others in the open court. Jalen has solid perimeter skills and play making ability. Can take defenders off the dribble and finish above the rim in traffic. Averaging 13.3 points 3.2 assist and 1.5 steals this season. Mobley's stock is rising and in drawing interest from several programs.

12) Kyle McKinley 6'10 Stillwater -High energy,  high impact post player. Possesses the physical tools that Division 1 programs seek in front court prospects. Runs the court well and can make plays above the rim on both sides of the ball. McKinley's stock is rising, and should receive so major interest in the near future.

13) Joey Witthus 6'5 SF Chanhassen - Complete player, contributes in all phases of the game. Solid on both sides of the ball, competitive, physical, makes any team better. Lead his team in scoring averaging 16.7 points, with a season high of 37 points. Witthus is drawing great interest from several division 1 programs.


14)  John Warren 6'4 SG Hopkins -High pedigree, high caliber, skilled shooter. Warren runs and spaces the court well, knows how to get open. Works well with the offense and has a high basketball IQ.  Good athleticism, size and length. Before his injury was the 6 man on varsity Hopkins. Warren stock is rising and is drawing interest from several division 1 programs.



15) Carter Asche 6'10 MACCRAY - Long, lean, solid athlete with great size and wing span. Runs the court well and is very mobile and agile for his size. Has great shooting range. Asche possesses all the physical attributes needed to be a high division 1 recruit.
