Class: 2016: There’s a CRAZY amount of talent to look forward to as the 2016 class, has already having an impact on the high school games this past 2012 season! This class is super deep with 20 plus class 2016 players playing in high school games this past season!


1) Amir Coffey  6’4  SG Hopkins-Lean long super bouncy and athletic. Amir has the compete shooting guard skill set. He possess all the athleticism and physical tools to dominate other guards with his size. Started junior varsity for Hopkins this past season and was an impact player. Has above average offensive versatility, able to slash to the basket and finish in traffic, score from the perimeter, and play within the offense. Amir is not only the best player in the class in Minnesota; he is also one of the best players in the 2016 class nationally. He should see starter minutes at point and shooting guard for Hopkins’ varsity this coming season.


 2) Brock Bertram  6’8  C/PF Apple Valley- A true big pure post player. Plays with good energy and knows how to use his body to control the paint. Good overall basketball IQ, knows where his spots are and works to get post position. Plays at an even pace and is productive on both sides of the ball. Brock will have very much well anticipated debut for Apple Valley varsity and should see plenty of playing time.


3) Xavier Pollard  5’8 PG Prairie Seeds Academy- Uncanny play making ability, makes other players better with his passing and creativity. Has the best court vision in the class and one of the top in the state regardless of class. Played junior varsity as 7th grader and started freshman this year on a team that only lost two games this past season. Xavier really thrives in the open court, by taking advantage of open passing lanes in traffic. Elite ball-handling and finishing around the rim in traffic. Has speed and great quickness. Crafty defender with fast hands.  Xairer should see varsity time this coming season at Minnehaha Academy.



4) Payton Bowdry  F/G  6’1 Sanford middle school - Dynamic athlete with bounce and explosiveness.  High energy player with scoring instincts around the rim. Solid ball handling and can finish above the rim in traffic. Plays both sides of the ball aggressively and is a team player. Some coach will be a surprise wherever Payton goes to school at this coming 2013 school year.




5)  Dalante Peyton  6’3 G/F  St. Paul Academy-  Physical, strong, aggressive, and athletic. Has good basketball IQ, with great basketball instincts. Affects the game in many facets and is a natural playmaker.  Played varsity for St. Paul Academy this past season and was an impact player. Delante is an overall high caliber basketball player.




6) Jake Dale  6’4  F Mankato West-  Jake is one of the most veritable front courts players in the class. Play aggressive and plays both sides of the ball. Plays within the offense and works to get good position in the post.  Has solid perimeter ball handling and shooting. Jake played Varsity for Mankato West this past season and should be a big impact on the team this coming 2013 season for Mankato West.





7) John Larson  SG  6’0 Braham-  Natural scoring instincts with good combo guard tools. He’s athletic and strong, with solid wing and guard skills. Has all the athleticism and physical tools to dominate other guards. He’s a lock down defender. John has great shooting touch from the perimeter and can take over a game with his scoring and is a leader. John most likely will be playing varsity this coming season for Braham.

8) Kyle Cappard  6’2  SF/SG Roosevelt Middle School- Physical, versatile, competitive. Kyle makes his team better without the ball and moves well with the ball.   Kyle has solid playmaking ability in the open court and better ability on the drive around the rim. Can beat his man on the drive and can finish with contact. Versatile defender, gets back to his man off the help and plays the passing lanes half and full court.  Kyle is a smart and balanced player; look for him to play starter minutes for Blain’s junior varsity this coming season.


9) Jordan Bolton   G  5’9  Jefferson Middle School- Has great speed and quickness. Jordan plays with great energy on both sides of the ball. Has the ability to get to the rim and finish in traffic. Jordan has solid ball handling skills. Takes care of the ball and is a team player. Runs the floor on both sides of the ball and makes his team better. Jordan should be competing for playing time on Apple Valley’s junior varsity next season.

10) Jamil Jackson  6’1 SF/SG- Prairie Seeds Academy-  High caliber  basketball skill set and athleticism. Dynamic offensive packaged can score from anywhere on the court. Versatile defender with the ability to cover post and wings plays equally. Started junior varsity as a 7th grader and started freshmen this past seson for a team that only lost two games . Look for Jamil to start varsity this coming season at Metro Tech.

11) Vincent Shahid   PG  5’6 Hopkins- High caliber basketball IQ, can control the pace of the game on offense and communicates well on defense. Crafty combo guard skill set. Uses change of speed and direction well. Can create off the dribble and be a break-out scorer from the perimeter. Look for Vinnie to compete for minutes on Hopkins’s junior varsity this coming season.

12) Patrick Dembley G 5’4 Prairie Seeds Academy-  High caliber shooting parallels ,with solid ball handling and play making ability.  He moves well without the ball around the perimeter. Has good basketball IQ and works to find his spots on the court. Played junior varsity as 7th grader for North and played freshman this past season. Patrick should be leading Holy Angles freshman team this coming 2013 season.    


13) Tyler Johnson 5’11 SG North East Middle Minneapolis- Tyler is super explosive, athletic and bouncy. Can create off the dribble and finish above the rim in traffic. Tyler thrives in the open court and on turning defense to offense, playing the passing planes in the half and full court. He is one of the classes top perimeter defenders, and can take is man out the game. Tyler has not made a decision on what high school he will attend this coming school year.

14)  LaMichele  Wade 6’2 F/G  Hopkins- LaMichele is a versatile athletic  wing player, who plays within the offense. Solid play making ability and can score from anywhere on the floor. LaMichele  has good ball handling on the perimeter and can drive the lane and finish in traffic. Look for LaMichele to be a starter on Hopkins freshman team this coming year.                          

15) Landan Kirkwood 5’9  G  Brooklyn Center Junior high- Has a solid scoring combo guard skill set with great speed and quickness. Played junior varsity for Brooklyn Center this past season and was a contributor. London is a competitor and can really turn it on scoring in bunches. Can penetrate the defense of the dribble and has above average playmaking ability.
