The season so far has been eye opener for most, great teams are just really good ones and some good teams are playing great. Some underclassmen leading their teams and some seniors lead their teams for one last chance at a State title season.
This Is MYSM ranking of the Top 30 teams in the state half way into the 2011-2012 season this takes account talent, record, style of play and who would win among these teams.

Who’s The Big Dog Now ???
The top of the Lake conference has been the top of 4A Minnesota high school basketball. The best players and best teams have made their stay as the front runners for the state title. Those days are over and now there is another conference that will make their stake as the best in 4A.
The South Suburban has every reason to think that they would be the best basketball conference in the state of Minnesota . Apple valley Beat Hopkins out the gate of the season, and have not show any reason why they would not again. Three of the Top 5 teams in the state play in the South suburban conference. Eastview, Apple Valley , and Lakeville North all have a chance to win state.
EastView’s Joey King or Tyler Flack of Lakeville North in a lot of people minds are the best players in the state, Apple Valley’s Tyus Jones is the best PG in the state and Prior Lake’s Carson Shanks is the tallest player and pure big at 7’1. There is many ways too look at it the best Team, Teams, Players, and Player all are in the South Suburban Conference now.!!!
The Fight for the Lake
Most People following Minnesota High school Basketball knew that the best player in the state would not be on Hopkins team this year. But they my not Even have the best player in the conference.
Wayzata, Minnetonka , and Eden Prairie all have great talent and now can say we are the better teams. Wayzata is one of 3 undefeated teams in 4A Minnetonka has the best starting 5 in the class and Eden Prairie’s got an championship caliber squad ready to make another deep.
Why is He on the Bench?
This MYSM list of some very talented players who could be starting varsity somewhere or get more PT on some very good teams this is not about whom playing in front of them but their choice of school and the position they play and grade.
